About SkyBook
URL : SkyBook
Short Description : SkyBook is an internet sportsbook that offers free half points on their lines. Want that -3 to turn to -2.5? Need that +7 football bet to go to a nice +7.5? SkyBook is the place to do it, free of charge, provided you make a deposit of $500 or more. On top of that, you can receive other promotions such as game tickets, cigars and beer kits. Despite all this, the site does has some navigational issues and sometimes you wonder why they don't just give you cash in lieu of the crappy cigar. Yet if you ignore all that, the half point alone should make SkyBook one of the more attractive sportsbooks on the net.

SkyBook Professional Review

By Kris Takahashi

The Look

If you change the login page and go about making your bets, this site looks exactly like Rio International, so much so that it leads me to believe they are sister sites. How else to explain two versions of the same mediocre page? This is not Coke and Pepsi we're talking about here, this is more like Steve Urkel and Carlton Banks. As I stated with Rio International, the separate screens for straight and parlay wagers irk me. And yes, I am lazy. Aren't you?

Deposits/Withdrawals

NETeller, Person to Person, Credit Cards, Sportsbook transfers, personal checks and bank wire. The deposit limits are different for each type, with credit at $500 and NETeller at $2500.

Wagering

SkyBook offers the same plays as Rio International: If bets, action reverses and what not. They do have exclusive teasers, which currently include various college football parlays.

Bonuses and Extras

SkyBook offers cigars, beer kits, game tickets and everything else they can get their hands on - which is nice and all, but you might want to offer people the cash. Of course, if you lose your bets, it might be nice to have something to show for it. What the hell, send me the #$#$ cigar.

Coming soon to you: Rubbers via SkyBook.

Customer Service

SkyBook has customer service phone lines and internet help. For once, I didn't try out the live help, seeing the picture of the girl was fairly unattractive and I only talk to very hot customer service reps. You're saying that's a model? What kind of modeling agency would hire her?

In any case, SkyBook reps are pretty good about answering quickly and being knowledgeable. And they should be. After all, they've been around for seven years.

Player Reviews/Forums

Players dig the free half points, but poke fun at the promos. They also are against the current political climate and are in favor of more ice cream in ice cream sandwiches.

Verdict

No matter how much I want to rip this site, I can't go against the fact that they give free half points. That is just sweet, like rice cakes and chocolate candy. And the weird promos are just icing on the cake. Who can we compare this too? How about Renee Zellwegger? She seems like a girl with problems, but her movies always seem to do well, like a sportsbook offering free half point lines. It all makes sense; at least to me.
